Take a deep dive into Barcelona’s unique modernista architecture with this three-hour group walking tour that is ideal for first-time visitors to Barcelona.
Walking down the city’s most famous avenue, you will learn about the cultural and artistic phenomenon that changed the city at the fin de siècle, gave birth to Gaudí, and created a style of buildings that is uniquely Barcelonese.
You will also see how Barcelona was, at the time, leagues ahead in terms of city planning and the creation of Europe’s first ‘truly modern’ city.
Led by experts, our Modernista Morning walking tour will give you valuable insight into Barcelona society and how developments made a century ago had a lasting effect on how local live today.

Every Thursday Morning. Start time 10am. Finish 12.30pm (approx.)
Cost: 45 euros per person.
Group size: Minimum of 2, maximum of 6. If you require a booking for a larger group, contact us.
Where is the meeting point?
We meet outside the Casa Loewe flagship store, Pg de Gracia 35, 08007.
What if it’s raining?
Barcelona’s climate is mostly dry. If it is raining on the day, the walk will continue as scheduled.
Need to knows
Will I see the Sagrada Familia?
No. Visiting Gaudi’s most famous work is an experience in itself. We suggest booking tickets well in advance of your arrival.
How far do we walk
Around 1.5 -2kms in total. There are no hills.
Where does the tour end?
We end the tour at the southern end of the Eixample near the old town. There is a metro stop in close proximity.
